Harold's is giving away the labor on 100 oil changes for veterans and active-duty service members. You pay only what the oil and filter cost us: $35 instead of our regular $85. Buy as many as you need for your own vehicles, and anyone can buy oil changes for local veterans at the same $35.

How it works

Pick how many oil changes you want for your own vehicles, how many you'd like to give to local veterans, or both. Pay securely through our card processor (MX Merchant). Every oil change gets its own coupon code, emailed to you right away.
Book your hour
Pick a one-hour slot online, Monday through Friday, 8 to noon and 1 to 4, or call . You'll get a confirmation by email. Use your coupon within 6 months.
We change your oil
Up to 5 quarts of oil, a new filter and our 26-point inspection, with the labor covered by Harold's. If your vehicle needs more oil, a specialty oil or a special filter (many trucks and large SUVs do), you just pay the difference at the counter.
The fine print, in plain English
- $35 covers the oil (up to 5 quarts) and filter for our standard $85 oil change. Harold's pays the technician.
- For veterans and active-duty, Guard and Reserve service members. We don't ask for discharge papers or orders; we just ask when and where you serve or served, and we take you at your word.
- Limited to the first 100 oil changes sold. The counter above updates as they go.
- Each coupon code is good for one oil change, once. Good for 6 months from purchase; after that the amount you paid is credited toward a regular oil change, so you never lose your money.
- No limit per person. Buy one for every vehicle in the driveway.
- Buying for veterans? Harold's works with the VA to match those oil changes with local veterans who need them. You'll get the coupon codes as your receipt.
Why we're doing this
Harold's has been fixing cars in West Salem since 1996, and a lot of the people who've trusted us with their vehicles over those years have served this country, or are serving right now. An oil change is a small thing. It's also the one piece of maintenance that keeps everything else from going wrong, and it's the thing people put off when money is tight. So for the first 100, our technicians' time is our thank-you.
